Feeka, aka Feeka Coffee Roasters, is smacked right in the heart of KL city and easily everyone’s go-to spot for a wholesome lunch or work place. This place tops our list for its undeniably wholesome menu of comforting eats like Lamb Shaksuka to breakfast must-have like granola bowls or baked goods, all of which goes perfectly with their hand-roasted coffees.

2. Niko Neko Matcha 2.0
No doubt – Niko Neko Matcha is the local matcha brand that has taken the cafe scene by storm. With their second outlet opening in Chinatown, all the matcha lovers have seemingly been “summoned” to try out their matcha delights. From hand-crafted beverages to pastries and desserts, everything’s filled with matcha goodness! Be sure to check out the reopening of their Bangsar outlet in January this year too!

3. Urban Daybreak
A hot spot for brunch goers, Urban Daybreak is definitely takes the cake for soul-comforting food we all need after a long week. With their all-day breakfast menu at sight, no one can say ‘No’ to their Fried Chicken Waffle or Jeremy’s Slippery Hotcakes. Come by at night to try out their dinner menu that has a slew of Australian fusion dishes too!

Next up, this cafe nestled in PJ’s Seventeen Mall is a newer addition to the cafe scene last year. Superfine brings on a boatload of Australian inspired dishes, such as their version of Buttermilk Pancakes or even Superfine Burger with house-made Australian beef patty. Bread lovers must try their lip-smacking Three Cheese Grilled Sandwich!

5. Jaslyn Cakes
Think of cakes and Jaslyn Cakes will pop into your mind. Although it has been around for quite a long time, Jaslyn Cakes never fails to disappoint for moist cakes and heavenly pastries. However, seating is limited at both their outlets in Bangsar and Mont Kiara, hence takeaway is encouraged.

6. Ebony & Ivory
Hidden inside of an apartment is Ebony & Ivory Coffee – a homey little spot that has the locals visiting almost every week. Well-known for soul-comforting rice bowls and huge servings of proteins, you’ll surely go home being more than satisfied here. Don’t miss out on their delicious array of homemade cakes too!

Croisserie is exactly what bread lovers have always dreamt of. Even though they have a huge selection of baked goods at their store, it’s best to head there early too as they only bake limited amount per item daily. You won’t go wrong by trying their signature flakey and buttery croissant! They have several outlets in Klang Valley for you to visit too.

8. Souffle Dessert Cafe
Who knew pancakes can have a cloud-like texture too? Head on over to Soffle Dessert Cafe for one of the best fuwa-fuwa pancakes in the city, perfect for after dinner desserts! A wide range of flavours for you to choose from and they even have waffles and kakigori too!

9. Stranger’s At 47
The only ‘creeps’ we need in our life are these sweet or savoury crepes from Strangers At 47! It is still the go-to spot for many with cravings of buttery soft crepes. Heading there over the weekend? 10. Sunday Coffee & Cakes
Nothing beats starting the day right with breakfast staples and Sunday Coffee & Cakes has been great at it! If egg sandwiches are your go-to then you’ll love their staple Japanese-style Tamagoyaki. 11. Merchant’s Lane
An oldie but a goodie! Merchant’s Lane just never seems to quiet down even till now. With wooden rustic interior and enticing fusion food that never gets old. This not-so-hidden cafe is also the perfect spot to cool down with at after walking around in Petaling Street. However, it’s highly advised to go earlier to avoid long waiting time.

12. Dou Dou Bake
Up next, this designer bakery that opened in the midst the pandemic last year was definitely the talk of the town. Nestled in the neighbourhood of PJ’s Taman Rasa Sayang, Dou Dou Bake easily sets apart from the rest with its insta-worthy space and, of course, its scrumptious pastries that have patrons going crazy over. Their signature Sourdough Croissant is a must-try!

13. Wizards At Tribeca
A little magic and whole lot of good food is what you’ll find at Wizards At Tribeca. Strategically located along Jalan Imbi, lots of patrons head on over during lunch hours. You’ll find a mix array of fusion food here to fill your tummy, from all-day brunch sets to baos and rice bowls.

14. Kopenhagen Coffee
Kopenhagen Coffee is the ultimate definition of minimalist and simplistic. Just perfect to enjoy a calm morning breakfast here for a little me-time. Go for their breakfast platter that you can mix and match different items to suit your palate and pair it with a cup of artisanal coffee. Also check out their second outlet that recently opened in KL Eco City!

Nestled in the neighbourhood of Bandar Sri Damansara (where the new roadside Uniqlo is located in), you’ll find this lovely minimalist cafe hidden amongst the shop-lots. Boasting a menu filled with fusion eats and hand-crafted coffees, it’s a wonder that Rinse doesn’t get enough recognition yet. Don’t miss out on their signature Burnt Cheesecake and Matcha Latte!

16. Pause Cafe
Pause Cafe is just the spot for a short break with pizzas, rice bowls and cakes. Known for its huge portion with reasonably prices, this can easily be your next favourite for fuss-free good food. Munch on their signature toast that can easily be shared with or the Kam Heong Lala Pasta for some localised flavours.

Moving on, this next spot may already be on most of your must-visit cafes for a long time. If egg is your life and love then you’re at the right place because Tapestry just gets every egg dish right. Either it’s their Egg Drop sandwich or Egg’s Benedict – you’ll fall in love with it at first bite!

From simple lattes to slow-drips, have all your coffee needs met in this small little space. They also have desserts and hot food offerings for those with bigger appetites.

19. Nippori Bistro
This huge adorable Mona Lisa painting has made its rounds on IG as Nippori Bistro continues to charm patrons near and far. Having French-inspired patisseries and European-fusion influence on their pizzas, pastas and sushis, everything taste as good as it looks. Its instagrammable space is all the more reason to visit here! Do remember to make reservations before heading there!

Closing in on the list is yet another bakery cafe in PJ, but if there’s one thing we know, we can’t resist the temptation of warm crusty breads. Provisions has all your sourdough bread cravings cramped into one instagram-worthy space. On lucky days, you may even get to try their homemade sourdough pizzas!
