KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia reported 103 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, with 26 brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
According to the CovidNow website, the death toll now stands at 27,525 while cumulative BID cases were 5,556.
The portal also reported that 69 per cent (18,997) of deaths involved unvaccinated individuals followed by 21.7 per cent (5,976) partially vaccinated and 9.3 per cent (2,552) fully vaccinated.
Majority of the deaths were aged above 60-years-old with 14,049 cases, 11,961 deaths aged between 18 to 59, 36 deaths aged 12 to 17 and 43 deaths aged 11 and below.
In the past two weeks, the country recorded 3.6 deaths per 100,000 people with Perlis the highest at 10.2 deaths per 100,000 people.
Active cases are slowly declining and now stand at 108,997 cases.
A total 85,383 are home quarantined, 15,387 are placed in Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres (PKRC), and 7,505 hospitalised.
Of those hospitalised, 772 patients are being treated at Intensive Care Units (ICU) with 336 of them ventilated.
Selangor has the most active cases in ICU with 123 followed by Sarawak at 109 and Sabah with 106.
There are 78 ICU cases in Perak, Johor (57), Kelantan (57), Penang (54), Kedah (50), Kuala Lumpur (23), Pahang (20), Terengganu (19), Melaka (10), Negri Sembilan (8), Perlis (4), and Putrajaya (1).
Labuan has no cases in ICU.
In terms of ICU utilisation, Johor, Perak, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya are at over 70 per cent.
Meanwhile, 75.2 per cent of the total population has received their Covid-19 vaccination with 66.1 per cent fully vaccinated.
In total, 21,591,116 people have completed their vaccination.
Sabah and Kelantan are the only states below the 50 per cent fully vaccinated mark with 49.8 per cent and 49.2 per cent.
The country could reach 80 per cent of total population vaccination by Nov 30.
