KUANTAN: The Pahang government has agreed to give a special additional annual salary increment of RM100 to state civil servants this year.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the increment was in line with Service Circular 2/2022 in which the Federal Government approved a grant to federal civil service officers in the executive group as well as the management and professional group.
“Therefore, taking into account the important role of state civil servants who have provided services to the people of Pahang, the state government has agreed to adopt this circular.
“The granting of this special additional increment will not affect the annual salary movement of officers for the year 2023 and the following years and will not change their salary movement date,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 14).
Wan Rosdy said the grant would involve an annual allocation of RM9.6mil for approximately 8,000 employees under the state administration.
“I hope that with the granting of this special increment, Pahang civil servants will improve the quality of service for the well-being and prosperity of this state,” he added.
