MAS flight MH199 makes emergency landing in India due to engine malfunction

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight bound for Kuala Lumpur from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in India made an emergency landing due to technical issues with the aircraft’s engine.

Times of India reported that flight MH199, carrying over 100 passengers, took off at 12.45am but returned to Hyderabad airport because of technical reasons.

The flight was initially scheduled to take off at 12.15am.

It is understood that the aircraft experienced an engine malfunction, causing sparks to emanate from the affected engine.
