Sabiha Gökçen Airport Signs Agreement With Plaza Premium Group

Plaza Premium Group will carry out private passenger services operations at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport as of 2021.

Malaysia Airports Group’s wholly-Owned and Turkey’s Rising City Airport Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport Plaza Premium Group Starting from the year 2021 Private Passenger Service taking over the operation, to start the investment.

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, wholly owned by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) Group, operates the lounge areas at the terminal, all premium services including fast pass, guest welcoming and farewell services to Plaza Premium as of January 1, 2021.

After the service transfer, Plaza Premium Group will invest in services and facilities as well as a series of improvements in the new year to create a pleasant lounge experience for passengers and a flawless airport journey.

Plaza Premium Group currently serves more than 49 million passengers annually at 20 international airports in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and America, and will open a new lounge in the international terminal in addition to the two existing lounges in Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.

More than 418 guests can be hosted at the same time in the existing 2 lounge areas, which are still operating and have a total size of 100 square meters. Lounge areas are located in areas where door number 206 is located in the domestic lines clear zone, and the international lines are in the clear zone door 203.

Lounges with panoramic views of the airport runway invite families as well as business and leisure travelers to enjoy a wide variety of specially designed services and facilities.

Offering a safe and hygienic environment, both halls feature comfortable seating areas, work areas that take care of personal comfort and social distance, and a dining area with prepackaged and portioned food and beverage options for guests to enjoy a worry-free airport experience. Being the second busiest airport in Istanbul with 2019 million passengers in 35,6, İSG was selected as the fastest growing airport in Europe for 2009 consecutive years from 2015 to 7.

Despite the global epidemic this year, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is among the five busiest airports in Europe, is positioned as the rising city airport of Istanbul.
