5. Toyyiban Sushi
Named after the verse in the Qur’an where Muslims are commanded to eat good, pure food – Halalan Toyyiban – you can rest assured that Toyyiban Sushi has got your back. Founded by a Muslim family, the owner spent a few years in Japan before returning to Malaysia to open their own Japanese restaurant – giving classic Japanese cuisine a Malaysian twist to suit the local palate. Although it doesn’t have a very extensive range of sushi or sashimi, Toyyiban makes up for it with the quality of the dishes they do have! One of the most recommended sushi dishes is their crispy fried sushi coupled with spicy soy sauce and wasabi.

6. Konichiwa Cafe
Located in the heart of Bangi is Konichiwa Cafe. It’s a well-known eatery among the locals for its large selection of Japanese delights such as cheezy tori karaage, temaki rolls, bento boxes, teppanyaki, okonomiyaki (Japanese pancakes) and sushi! 7. Wagyu Kokoro Halal Yakiniku

Wagyu Kokoro Halal Yakiniku serves premium quality Japanese wagyu grade A4 to A5. Wagyu beef is graded between A1 to A12 (depending on its firmness, texture and fat concentration).
