KUALA LUMPUR: The public will be able to see how well ministers have performed when they present their 100-day report card, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Prime Minister said he had directed his ministers to make public their initial achievements to allow the public to evaluate the work they and their ministries had done.

The decision to present the ministers’ performance report was made at the Cabinet meeting on Sept 10, and the 100-day timeframe kicked off on Sept 1, the first Cabinet meeting of this administration.

This administration’s 100th day will ring in on Dec 10.

“The ministers have been asked to announce their Malaysian Family Aspiration Performance 100-day report card for the people to evaluate the ministers and ministries’ performance.

“The government places the ministers’ performance as a high priority so that they will provide top service to the people,” Ismail Sabri said in a statement yesterday.

He added that the implementation of initiatives by ministers would be based on six principles including restructuring the economy and ensuring security and order in the country.

The other four principles are to boost social well-being, to improve infrastructure, strengthen unity in the Malaysian Family mould, and to enhance the government’s delivery.

“I had a session with the ministers on Sept 24 and 29 where I interviewed them to determine their KPI (key performance indicator) list,” he said.

Ismail Sabri said the Office of the Chief Secretary to the Government, Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) and the Shared Prosperity Delivery Unit (Sepadu) would act as coordinators to ensure that the planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement of each aspiration of the Malaysian Family by the ministers could be achieved with excellence.
