Cops looking for ‘Muhammad Imran Suresh’ to help Faisal Halim acid attack probe

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are searching for the owner of a social media account by the name of Muhammad Imran Suresh in relation to a statement made about the acid attack on national and Selangor FC footballer Faisal Halim.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the individual claimed to have information related to the incident.

“So, we want to trace him to see what information he has that can help the investigation.

“Any individual who has any relevant information can come forward instead of issuing a statement that could affect the investigation,” he said when contacted here today.

Commenting further, he said, investigations are still being carried out from various angles against the suspect who was remanded yesterday.

“We are also still identifying the real motive of the incident,” he said.

Asked if it was possible that the suspect was hired, he said that the matter has not been confirmed as the investigation is still ongoing.
