Tuju Setia confident of winning more projects

PETALING JAYA: Tuju Setia Bhd is confident of winning more projects for the financial year ending Dec 31,2021.

The construction services group is currently bidding for RM3.8bil worth of works in constructing high-rise buildings, as well as design and construction of hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Year to date, Tuju Setia has bagged four new contracts worth RM587.1mil. It currently has an order book of RM1.14bil.

Tuju Setia managing director Wee Eng Kong said the group’s recent wins demonstrated the robust recovery in construction activity.

“Our current RM1.14bil order book is a testament of our good standing in the construction industry and vote of confidence from our established clientele in our construction capabilities, ” he said in a statement.

“Going forward, we intend to stay on our growth path by strengthening our technical expertise and quality in constructing high-rise buildings, as well as design and construction of hospitals and healthcare facilities. Concurrently, we aim to continue expanding our current tender book of RM3.8 billion to sustain our momentum, ” he added.

Tuju Setia is the first company to be listed on the Main Market this year.

It made a strong debut yesterday, opening at 77.5 sen against its offer price of 70 sen. The counter closed at 74 sen yesterday, off an intra-day high of 87.5 sen.

Tuju Setia’s initial public offering (IPO) entailed the issuance of 80 million new shares, raising proceeds of RM56mil. There was also an offer for sale of 27 million existing shares by the vendors.
