Another massive jump as Malaysia records 13,215 Covid-19 cases in one day

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s Covid-19 case rate has continued to climb, as the country reported a record 13,215 infections on Thursday (July 15).

In a tweet, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country’s total cumulative number of cases stands at 880,782.

Selangor has the highest figure with 6,120 cases – a record for the state as well.

Negri Sembilan is second highest with 1,603 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1,499 cases.

Case figures in other states are as follows: Kedah (695 cases), Johor (599), Penang (509), Melaka (484), Sabah (370), Sarawak (363), Perak (344), Kelantan (255), Pahang (222), Terengganu (70), Putrajaya (53), Labuan (26), Perlis (three).
