Covid-19: Average daily vaccination rate in July was 398,843 doses, up 136% from June, says KJ

PETALING JAYA (Bernama): The average daily Covid-19 vaccination rate has gone up 136% for the month of July compared to June, says Khairy Jamaluddin (pic).

“This is after July saw an average of 398,843 doses being administered daily,” he said during a press conference on Monday (Aug 2).

The National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister said that three million senior citizens have received at least one vaccine dose while 2.25 million have completed both doses.

He added that Malaysia will receive a Covid-19 vaccine contribution from the United Kingdom sometime this week.

Khairy also said the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) will decide this week on addition of Sinovac vaccine to cover the high daily vaccination rate.

He also said that senior citizens in the Klang Valley who have yet to receive the vaccine can go directly to any vaccination centre on a walk-in basis.-Bernama
