Body of missing six-year-old boy found in disused mining pool

IPOH: The body of the disabled six-year-old boy who went missing in Gopeng on Monday (Sept 6) has been found.

Kampar OCPD Supt Hasron Nazri Hashim said Muhammad Hayyadh Ukasyah Abdul Wahid’s body was found in a disused mining pool, about 80m from his house in Taman Kinta Baru.

“We located the body on Tuesday (Sept 7) at 9.45am.

“The body has been (retrieved) by the Fire and Rescue Department,” Supt Hasron Nazri said in a statement.

“Initial investigation found no foul play,” he said, adding that the incident has been classified as sudden death.

“The family has identified the body at the Kampar Hospital mortuary.

“A post-mortem will be conducted,” Supt Hasron Nazri said.

The boy, who had autism, reportedly went missing from his house at about 6.30pm on Monday.
