Covid-19: Over 41 million vaccine doses given as of Wednesday (Sept 22)

PETALING JAYA: A total of 41,247,271 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in Malaysia as of Wednesday (Sept 22), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

According to figures released by JKJAV on Twitter, 22,348,422 people or 93.3% of the adult population have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while 18,986,347 individuals or 81.0% of the adult population have completed their inoculations.

JKJAV also reported that a total of 321,342 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country on Wednesday.

Of this total, 121,631 people received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 199,711 completed their inoculations by getting either the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or a single-dose jab.

Sabah saw the most people receiving their first dose with 24,516 jabs given, followed by Johor (16,502), Kedah (11,322), Perak (11,108) and Kelantan (10,933).

Johor led the way for completed inoculations with 35,208 doses administered, followed by Perak (24,792), Pahang (20,296), Sabah (19,496) and Kuala Lumpur (18,503).
