BANGI: About 86.9% of school students aged 12-17 have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine so far, says Datuk Mohamad Alamin.
The Deputy Education Minister described this as encouraging and said that students understood the importance of getting vaccinated before returning to school.
“As of Sunday (Oct 17), almost 30% have received two doses,” he said after visiting SK Seksyen 7 here on Monday (Oct 18).
Mohamad said that schools are ready to welcome students back and added that there are no issues with preparations.
He also encouraged parents to send their children back to school, although they can choose not to.
“I encourage parents to send their children to school. All kinds of preparations have been made to prepare for the students’ return and standard operating procedures are in place,” he said.
