KUALA LUMPUR: Compound notices worth a total of RM290,000 were issued to more than 20 patrons and the owners of two entertainment outlets following raids in the city.
Kuala Lumpur Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Azman Ayob said 30 compound notices totalling RM150,000 were issued at one outlet and 18 compounds worth RM90,000 were issued at the other outlet.
“The owners of both outlets were issued with RM25,000 compound notices each.
“The compound notices were issued for breach of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP),” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 3).
Urine tests were also performed on 23 patrons at the first outlet and all came back negative for drugs, he added.
“We will continue to conduct such operations from time to time.
“Our ultimate goal is to break the chain of Covid-19 infection,” SAC Azman said.
