Covid-19: Nearly 96% of adult population in M’sia fully vaxxed as of Tuesday (Nov 23)

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 22,425,264 individuals, or 95.8% of the adult population, have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations as of Tuesday (Nov 23), says the Health Ministry.

Based on data from the Ministry’s CovidNow portal, 98% of the adult population, or 22,936,203 individuals, have received one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine as of Tuesday.

The portal also reported that 2,603,148 individuals, or 82.7% of the adolescent population in the country, completed their Covid-19 vaccinations as of Tuesday.

A total of 2,760,656 individuals, or 87.7% of adolescents in the country, have received at least one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.

CovidNow also reported that 135,631 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday, with 10,473 given as second doses, 5,233 jabs to first dose recipients and 119,925 booster shots.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Malaysia to 52,232,576 doses since the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme began. – Bernama
