PETALING JAYA: Komarkcorp Bhd, a provider of packaging and printing solutions, returned to profitability for the first time since its financial year ended 2017.
For its second quarter ended Oct 31, 2021, the group saw a profit after tax of RM0.11mil (versus a loss after tax of RM2.53mil a year earlier), while revenue rose 120% year-on-year to RM18.2mil.
The group said the positive financial improvement was mainly due to the higher revenue from both the label and packaging division as well as the new face mask division.
For the six-month period ended Oct 31, 2021, Komarkcorp saw a profit after tax of RM2.5mil and an 86.4% year-on-year rise in revenue to RM31.6mil.
For the six-month period of 2021, the label and packaging division was the largest revenue contributor with 71.5% or RM22.57mil, followed by the new face mask division (revenue of RM9mil or 28.5%).
Malaysia is the largest market for the overall revenue for the six-month period of 2021, with 74.53% or RM23.53mil.
