Border reopening: Penang expects to see seven international flights arrive on April 1

GEORGE TOWN: Seven international flights are expected to land in Penang on Friday (April 1) including two from Taiwan.

Malaysia Airports Holding Bhd said there would be five flights from Singapore to Penang and two flights from Taiwan coming via various airlines.

AirAsia northern region (government relations) manager Kenneth Tan said when the international borders reopen on April 1, they expect more flights arriving from a few Asian countries including Thailand and Indonesia.

“We will resume flying to and from international destinations from April 1,” he said.
