PASIR MAS: Kelantan has recorded the first Covid-19 case among flood evacuees after a man tested positive for the virus.
The man, in his 30s, tested positive during a Covid-19 screening test conducted by a team from the Health Ministry at a temporary relief centre here this morning.
The man, who is a father of two, has been placed under quarantine. He is a villager from Kampung Serongga, one of the low-lying areas hit by flood yesterday.
He was among more than 100 flood victims who were evacuated to the relief centre yesterday.
It is learnt that several of his close contacts, including his wife, children and friends, were required to undergo Covid-19 screening as well.
